“We need to know something about everyting all the time”

C-Net has a particularly creepily-worded article about government satellites. For example,

Through a project called NextView, the National Imagery and Mapping Agency is encouraging private companies to develop satellites with a resolution of a quarter of a meter — two to four times as sharp as the commercial eyes now in orbit.

iTunes on Windows

My mom’s IBM Thinkpad A30 gets the warning “The iTunes service for importing and burning CDs and DVDs has not been started. Please restart the service to enable burning and importing.”

I wonder what that means. Anyone know?

predisposition for tall people

brain waves

I know this probably makes you think I’m crazy, but my friend Leslie mentioned “brain waves” a long time ago, and programs that will manipulate your brain waves.

There was actually a program for BSD that would generate signals for you to listen to.. and after an hour or so I found it: sbagen. There are binary versions released for Windows and the Macintosh.

Being a minimalist anyways, I like hearing the gradual changes and the simplicity of the output, even if the effect is purely psychosomatic.
