Two funny sites, an old and a new

Sidetalkin’, a site making fun of the Nokia N-Gage gaming-slash-awkward phone, is making the blog rounds.

Stealth Disco is an awesome site that’s been around for a while. I tried to find it on google using words like “office workers secret dance dancing behind others” but couldn’t find it until I found my email from a long time ago. So, I hope this helps somebody! We need to start some stealth disco at work.

Halloween is upon us.

This is the only holiday I really worry about — it’s the only one where I feel like I have to prepare like homework. I never actually have the time to come up with a costume, because I put it on the back burner for work and school, and they leave me pretty drained, creatively. This Halloween, however, I think I’ve got a decent idea that I can pull together in the few hours before my party of choice begins. I’m going to go as Pac-Man. My plan is this: 2 cardboard or foam-core disks, painted yellow, between 3.5 and 4 feet in diameter, with black construction-paper pie wedges for a mouth and 2 black dots for eyes, which I will hang from my shoulders by straps, or by employing armholes in the top of the head. Some sort of horizontal cross-bar will be necessary in order to keep unweildiness to a minimum, but there’s only so much you can do with pac-man. Hopefully I can find a cheap yellow shirt and pants pair so that my human form will have as little impact as possible on my Pac-man qualities.
I feel like this isn’t an unreasonable plan, but I have to avoid any sort of glue, or anything that needs to dry, aside from the spray-paint I will likely use. Hopefully it will dry fast enough to not be a huge stinky mess. I can do this!

And congrats++ to Lauren! Welcome to post-education employment!
